Women Support Women

I wanted to create a series of posters to address a civil rights movement or problem in our current society. I chose to focus on the Women Support Women movement. The Women Supporting Women's movement is an effort to promote positivity and female empowerment, women have been sharing photos or videos of themselves on social media expressing their love for being a woman. This stems from other women being unsupportive of other women, and the media making it seem like women have to be in competition with one another. I created two posters with the phrase “Women Support Women” and one poster with the phrase “Women Always Support Women” to encourage women to further understand the importance of this movement. Each poster has a prompt that says “Join the conversation, #WomenSupportWomen” in an effort to get people talking on social media. These posters were made in hypothetical partnership with womens rights organization: AWID: Association for Women's Rights in Development.
