ICEHOGS- Hat Contest

The Local Artist Hat series in Rockford, IL opened a new contest for the citys hockey team; the ICEHOGS! The Rockford IceHogs are teaming up with the Rockford Area Arts Council for a “Local Artist Hat Series" to support the Rockford artist community and give artists a platform to showcase their work, style and creativity, while engaging with the community’s passion for the IceHogs. They were looking for local artists to submit designs for an IceHogs hat that would be given away to fans at select games during the 2023-24 season. I wanted to of course make my mark on the community and submitted this fun old timey take on the teams mascot; Hammy. I thought this would be a great way to honor their upcoming anniversary to playing at the BMO Center as well as the trendy art style coming back in again. update: I was not selected as a winner however as a runnerup I got two free tickets for a game during the hat giveaways!
